We've really fallen hard for patterned tights - they now come in every color of the rainbow, but as we attempt to transition our closet to spring, we can't help but be drawn to the blues, lilacs and blacks. Our favorites come from trendy budget retailers Forever21 and Urban Outfitters, who offer a wide variety of florals, laces and fashionable fishnets amongst other options. It's time to start shopping for Spring - and denim on denim is a trend to watch out for. Demonstrated at its best on the Chloe Spring/Summer 2010 runaway, denim is back in a  big way, so pull out those old Levis, and don't be afraid to layer them with your dad's old chambray shirt. Jean shorts and a denim shirt? All right. In a world where denim was previously only allowed to be one part of your outfit (usually, the bottom), the beloved American material has now been reintroduced in the fashion world as the perfect layering piece - in any form of garment.

When the weather gets chilly, most of us have a tendency to gravitate towards darker, warmer colors - abandoning our white pieces completely. However, with all the celebrities taking to sporting their winter whites on the red carpet, it only seems fair that we do the same. Most of us might not have red carpets to walk, but that doesn't mean we can't put together some fabulosity using only light pieces. We hunted down the following outfit, comprised only of pieces from Forever21 (all of which are currently available on the F21 website for $30 and under), which we think is a perfect winter white getup (with some bits of pastels thrown in for good measure). 

There's something to be said about the romantic nature of lace pieces. Formerly reserved for Victorian costumes and bedroom attire, lace is making a big comeback. Whether you're looking to add vintage flair to a modern outfit, or spicing up your basics, lace is the way to go. It's undeniably flirty and feminine, and adds a hint of allure to any outfit. Straight from the mind of Blair Waldorf comes our newest fall trend. Recently recommend by uber-stylist Rachel Zoe, capelet jackets provide an easy alternative to the usual leather jacket or pea coat. Capes and capelets add a posh European feel to any outfit. A great layering piece, they add texture (see below at Tuleh), sleek sophistication (see below at Jeremy Laing) and warmth (see below at Y-3). They're also super stylish in faux fur.

I'm not usually one to recommend such out there trends, or I suppose, colors - but even I have to admit that turquoise wayfarers are looking pretty good right now. Check them out on Ashley Tisdale and Demi Lovato below - even Mischa Barton's getting in on the action with a pair of turquoise plastic aviators. You can purchase Demi and Ashley's exact sunnies here, or you can get the look for less with these babies.  Turquoise sunnies add a dash of bright summer fun to any outfit, and are perfect wore both over the top like the stars below, or paired with a basic tee and jean shorts. 

Nevermind Beyonce's super fierce, sharp shouldered Balmain blazer in the shot below - I can't stop looking at her denim leggings. They're cozy and comfy like your favorite pair of jeans, but their tight shape makes them high fashion - and they've got the added comfort factor of stretch!

Denim never goes out of style, but it's definitely been resurrected ever since Emily Current and Merrit Elliot introduced their lovable denim washes. The go-to jean of cool girls everywhere, Current Elliot expanded on their offerings for Fall 09, as shown in their delectable lookbook. I'm loving the shot below, where the girls have taken a classic denim jacket and reworked it to modernize the piece. Talk about inspiring one to wear denim up top instead of on the bottom!
