Today, I saw that some cute Theory items were on sale at Bloomingdales and decided it would be fun to create an outfit out of some of the pieces. But, sadly for me, the sale prices are still not quite in my spending range, so I created another outfit that is similar in style but about half the price! There are of course some differences, but that is what is fun about fashion and creating looks. You can take similar looking items, play around with them and come up with different versions of the same look! I could see myself definitely wearing both of these ensembles to work on a sunny, spring day!

I'm generally not one to pick out a preppy favorite like these J. Crew Driving Mocs- but the metallics get me every time! These fabulous driving shoes from J.Crew come in both gold and silver, but I think the gold is a little much. The silver is just subtle enough to add some sparkle without seeming like it's trying too hard. However, at $128, we've got a price that's trying too hard. Happily, there's a great look for less! These mocs from Payless are nearly identical, and they retail for a comparably tiny price of $27.99! How fabulous!

Today it is a whopping 48 degrees out and that is enough to put me into full-time spring mode. With that said, and the fact that I happen to be wearing all black today, I decided that I needed some color in my life. I love yellow and so I wanted to make sure to incorporate it in, which I hope to do to my own wardrobe in the coming seasons. Don't you love the bright detailing around the neckline of the dress?
