It's time to start shopping for Spring - and denim on denim is a trend to watch out for. Demonstrated at its best on the Chloe Spring/Summer 2010 runaway, denim is back in a  big way, so pull out those old Levis, and don't be afraid to layer them with your dad's old chambray shirt. Jean shorts and a denim shirt? All right. In a world where denim was previously only allowed to be one part of your outfit (usually, the bottom), the beloved American material has now been reintroduced in the fashion world as the perfect layering piece - in any form of garment.

Denim never goes out of style, but it's definitely been resurrected ever since Emily Current and Merrit Elliot introduced their lovable denim washes. The go-to jean of cool girls everywhere, Current Elliot expanded on their offerings for Fall 09, as shown in their delectable lookbook. I'm loving the shot below, where the girls have taken a classic denim jacket and reworked it to modernize the piece. Talk about inspiring one to wear denim up top instead of on the bottom!

You know the drill - a celeb wears something and suddenly, it's bound to be a trend. Much like Nicole Richie and her denim jacket, Kate Bosworth recently donned a denim vest and suddenly fashionistas everywhere are rushing out to purchase the item. I'm not sure how I feel about the trend - I suppose if it's done right, a la Bosworth (see below), it's doable. But I think it's a trend that will a) only work on very petite frames and b) has to be done via a worn in rocker-chic vest, not one of those tight fitted ones from Forever21. 

That said, if you can find a worn in one at your local Goodwill, do it up Bosworth style with a miniskirt, oversized grey tee, and colorful scarf. Movie star sunnies optional.

These Theory shorts are adorable. They retail for $180, which is way pricey for a pair of denim shorts, but they're perfect for dressing up, down, in or out. You could wear these out on the town with black tights underneath, or if you're daring, bare legged with a pair of heels and a tee. They could take you to the beach, or to class once it warms up. But they're just so expensive!

Thankfully, Arden B has a great look for less! The bow is a bit different, but from afar, they look almost exactly the same! They retail for only $38, which is much more reasonable for a pair of shorts. Happy shopping! Think Spring!

Torrid is easily one of the best places on the net (and in the mall) for "plus sized" women's jeans.

I don't know about you, but a little T'n'A never hurt anyone. It's to be celebrated! I get so frustrated when going through big department stores and seeing the "plus size" section full of synthetic fabrics and hide-your-body shapes. Bleh! That's where Torrid comes in with winning designs for all luscious women.
